Kara Flannery Photography
Kara Flannery Kara Flannery studied photography at the International Center of Photography while working as an administrator at the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest in Manhattan. Her first long-term project, "The Other Six Days", a series of 30 images documenting the work and ministries taking place at the church Monday through Saturday, was on exhibit in the church during the Museum Mile Festival in 1998. Since then, she has been working consistently, creating images for religious institutions, schools, and non-profit organizations. Her technique is based on a non-invasive and respectful approach. She enjoys diversity in her assignments, which have included annual reports, photojournalistic coverage, advertising, portrait and event photography.
